Provenance: from private collection of Czech art glass. František Vízner (1936-2011) is one of the most important Czech glass artists. He studied at Stanislav Libenský´s studio at the famous glassmaking school in Železný Brod, and later at the Academy of Applied Arts (VŠUP) in Prague. In his earlier works he worked with mold glass. Subsequently, he focused on cut glass and became well-known for his simple stereometric objects. He is a holder of several prestigious international awards.
