Provenance: from private collection of Czech art glass. Attached confirmation of authenticity by Jaroslava Brychtová. From the series "Prostory" (1991-92 and 1995-96}. The main theme of this series is exploring inner and outer space and relationship with light. Stanislav Libenský (together with Jana Brychtová) was one of the most influential glass artists of 20th century. Their work is characterised by simple block shapes infused with subtle colours and nuances. Their glass objects have been particularly influential in the United States. Their work is represented in all major museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY Victoria, Albert Museum in London and the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo.
