mark ORIGINAL KAISER Idell, Germany, circa 1930, series 6556, designed by Ch. Dell, produced by Gebr. Kaiser & Co., base metal with black and white varnish, cast iron filling of the base, adjustable table lamp, circle base where is fixed leg with joint, height 46 cm, functional, new electrification – revision required;

German designer Christian Dell studied under supervision of Henry Van de Velde in Sächsische  Kunstgewerbeschule (Weimar). In 1922-25 he worked for Bauhaus where he collaborated with Moholy-Nagy and M. Brandt. He specialized in designing lamps and lights. His most valued design items come from series „Idell“ (Idea of Christian Dell) produced in 1930s.
