Bohumír Dvorský is one of the most outstanding personalities who have
depicted the Czech landscape, at the same time he was also widely devoted to painting still lifes
with flowers.
In his work he was influenced by Julius Mařák and Paul Cézanne.
Dvorský's colour palette, which initially consisted of cold tones,
changed under the influence of the landscape of South Moravia, where he took refuge during the war
Svatý Kopeček near Olomouc, to a palette of warm tones to exultant yellows
and red colours.
