Art Prague, which was establishing its collection in the late 1990s. and focused on works by contemporary artists. The Foundation managed to acquire an extraordinary collection of cutting-edge works whose prices today many times their former prices. The sale of this work will contribute to the the reconstruction of a building in Prague used as a research and exhibition Foundation's exhibition and research centre.

The offered work by Michaela Thelenová from 1997 belongs to a larger body of work focused on the topic of media reality, which in the 1990s gradually became part of everyday life. Photographic records of details of technological devices, keyboards, calculators and computers became a new means of communication and common understanding, which largely dehumanized and replaced previous written, handwritten communication. Reprinting details of photographic records onto the screen meant an additional layer of alienation or distance and became a meta-image of the original pre-image. Thelenova here worked with a conceptual approach in which the meaning of the work is shaped in a series of made up of individual, seemingly banal motifs. Michaela Thelen's multimedia work has long been associated with with Ústí nad Labem, where the artist studied at the Department of Art Art Education at the Faculty of Art and Design of the Jagiellonian University. Since 1994 she has worked there as an assistant in the studio Photography and currently she is the head of the Digital Media Studio. She belongs to one of the prominent representatives of contemporary art, who has been involved in digital art since the beginning. profiled as a sensitive observer of personal intimate space with a focus on general public social and critical issues related to with new media reality, motherhood, but also with the excluded locality Northwest Bohemia and the devastation of the environment there.
