Jiří Černický's painting Sun Shine from 2017 belongs to a series of paintings inspired by scifi movies in which the universe fights to save lives on the Earth. Works intended for the future, as a fictional commission for space ship or technocratic dehumanized architecture, refers to the dystopian visions of the demise of the world while ironically commenting on that in the future by hand painted paintings will disappear. Abstract images formed by organic structure of visual information, organized on the desktop, refer used materials and items to the instrument panel. Reflective radiant color on the surface of the image structure resembles the pulsating surface of the Sun, to which the spaceship is headed. However, the main events of the image do not take place on its surface, but on the edge, they point out of the space of the image. Jiří Černický has been researching and shifting the medium of painting for a long time in his work its boundaries towards the object and space. The material of the painting can be practically anything, from toothbrushes, earphones, levers from faucets and other fragments of civilization objects that are incorporated into the mass of the image and co-creates its compositional, color and material structure. The objects that Černický composes into paintings they lose their original meaning and purpose. They are present in it material form, but within the image they represent a new visual information. Unnecessary, broken and discarded objects are received in paintings the role of relics of our civilization, which are embedded in the body of the painting and instead of the brush with color shapes its appearance and character. Intermedia work of Jiří Černický, using the possibilities of new ones technology, ranges from performance, video, staged photography, to the object, installations and painting. Various media, among which you author deliberately arbitrarily chooses, they are a means of uncovering social taboo and political themes, but also a game with traditional symbols that nowadays they overlap, layer and rewrite compared to theirs traditional meaning.
