Bruno Weill as director of Thonet Fr res in Paris introduces furniture production
of tubular steel with designs by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, R. C. Coquery
(Coqueri), André Lurçat and other important designers. Under the pseudonym
Béwé designs tubular steel furniture for Thonet. In 1940
he goes to the United States to work for Thonet Brothers.
Rare Bauhaus B-290 secretary by designer Bruno Weill for Thonet
circa 1932 is one of the unique and rarely seen
within functionalist design furniture.
